How is cuckolding involved with private erotic photoshoots?

With so many flavors of non-monogamy being practiced these days, it’s probably not a big surprise that cuckolding has become a fairly common part of the intimate photoshoots that I do for paying clients.  Looking back, I can see that it started many years ago, before I was even aware of cuckolding as a lifestyle.

Somewhere along my development as a sex-positive photographer, I learned to always ask my clients this question:  What’s more important to you, the experience of being in front of my camera or the quality of the images you receive?

These days more than half will say the photoshoot experience is the most important part, so I always spend some time asking about their preferences and fantasies.  If I can play a role that comes naturally to me and doesn’t interfere too much with photography, I’m usually good with that.  

The most basic example is where I simply let my naturally dominant side express itself and tell my subject(s) what to do.  This may include some dirty talk and crude posing instructions.  Fellow photographers please note that this is definitely NOT how you should act when shooting professional models.  And if you are being paid by your clients, you don’t want to do this without a serious conversation to make sure that’s what they want.  An email exchange is best, so that both parties have a written record they can refer back to.

The way that cuckoldry plays out during an erotic photoshoot varies with what the client(s) want, but most commonly the husband pays for the wife to have an erotic shoot so that he can enjoy the images at his leisure.   Sometimes the husband wants to watch the shoot, just as he would watch his wife with a “bull” in the bedroom.   In other cases, he sends her alone.

I think we need a new word to describe the photographer in these situations.  How about “photobull?”  “Bullographer?”   Just kidding!

There are often special instructions that the client wants the photographer to follow.  These can be fairly detailed and as the photographer, I have to make sure that my own limits are declared and respected.   Consent works both ways!

The limit I express most often is that I am not available for sex and I won’t provide a gentleman (bull) to do the honors.  Bringing your own is fine, however.  I usually recommend Fetlife as the best place to find a willing participant, but bulls have a fairly high no-show rate, so plan B is to do the shoot without them.

The last thing I want to mention is rather unfortunate.  Cuckolding creates such strong fantasies that people who really aren’t going to book a shoot will take up a lot of my time trading messages about how they want their fantasy to play out in front of the camera.  I’ve started asking for a deposit before we get too deep into the discussion.
